FAREWELL TO ADDICTION FEUD.

                                       
We have known great sorrow, but we have seen the power of the Savior turn our most devastating defeats into glorious spiritual victories.
                                   


 We who once lived with daily depression, anxiety, fear and debilitating anger now experience joy and peace. We have witnessed miracles in our own lives and in the lives of others who were ensnared in addiction. We have paid an awful price in self-inflicted pain and suffering because of our addictions. But blessings have poured forth as we have taken each step to recovery. Having had a spiritual awakening,  we strive every day to improve our relationship with Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we are healed.

Some people consider addictions to be simply bad habits that can be conquered by willpower alone,
But many people become so dependent on a behavior or a substance that they no longer see how to abstain from it. They lose perspective and a sense of other priorities in their lives. Nothing matters more than satisfying their desperate need. When they try to abstain, they experience powerful physical, psychological, and emotional cravings. As they habitually make wrong choices, they find their ability to choose the right diminished or restricted “Addiction has the capacity to disconnect the human will and nullify moral agency, It can rob one of the power to decide” Addictions can include the use of substances such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and drugs (both prescription and illegal), and behaviors such as gambling, codependency, viewing pornography, inappropriate sexual behavior, and disorders associated with eating(Yeah).These substances and behaviors diminish a person’s ability to feel the Spirit. They harm our physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being, If you suspect you are addicted and if you feel even the smallest desire to break free, we invite you to join us in studying and applying the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We assure you that if you follow this path with a sincere heart, you will find the power you need, to recover from addiction, The Savior will strengthen you and you will come to “KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE” (JOHN 8:32).

TRY SOMETHING NEW .

Sometimes we are tempted to give up because whatever we are doing doesn’t work .when that happens we have to try something new .As long as we are making progress in life, we will have new opportunities and face new challenges. We have dreams and goals that we want to pursue, but we also need solutions to challenges that we experience along the way. If we know what to do, then we need to do it; if we don’t, then we have the privilege of trusting god to guide us. The bible says we are to do what the crisis demands and then stand firmly in our place (Eph 6:13). Do what you can do and god will do what you cannot do. Many times we say we want something new and then when the new things come, they frighten us. New experiences and opportunities can be very daunting, but they don’t have to be. If we insist upon clinging to old methods, ideas, relationships or mindsets and refuse to accept or embrace the new, we aren’t going to progress in our lives. You remember that God chose Joshua to succeed Moses as the leader of the Israelites and take them into the Promised Land. God gave him the daunting task of leading an entire nation into a new place, a place where they’d never been before. They knew they were leaving behind a terrible oppression and hard labour as slaves in Egypt, and they heard they were headed to a land flowing with milk and honey, but they had never seen that land before.it was going to be new to them. Their story, even though it took place thousands years ago, that teaches us some important lessons about new experiences in our lives today. The first question we need to ask when we face a new situation is, Is this Gods will for me? “The second is do I have inner peace about this” we also need to ask ourselves if we sense his presence in the new situation. If we believe it is Gods will, we can trust God to provide everything we need each step of the way. We need to “follow the ark’ instead of following our personal desires, fears, emotions ,our good ideas or the advice of others. We follow the ark by taking one step of obedience to God after another. I’d rather follow God into a new and comfortable place than remain in a place that is no longer for me. . . ~~Therapymefactsoflife~

LEFTHANDERS DAY!

                                                 Photo: LEFT HANDERS DAY Yeah!its left handed day and its being celebrated. . . .This reminds me of that bible saying that says we were created in Gods image and likeness.I mean there was no mistake after all. . . he made us perfectly even with the left handed thing. All those folks in the 70s and 80s who made their left handed kids struggle to use their right hands maybe kicking Themselves right about now.As it turns out left handers have certain advantages than right handers especially in piloting a JET. Neuropsycology suggests that left handed people are faster at processing multiple stimuli than righthanders and so they should be used more often. Now i see why our heavenly father choose Ehud in the Bible (Judges 3;12-15) to go with the Israelites to defeat the moabites. . . he-he God can be indeed mysterious!. . .doesn't this tell you something?That no ones creation had a mistake?do you know that left handers have the finest handwriting? #HAPPYLEFTHANDERS DAY# #THERAPYME#

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

In all candor,there were long stretches of time when,despite my best efforts,i could not get a speaking engagement of any kind.That was discouraging,but not once did i consider abandoning my dream of being a psychologist and a speaker. The difference between me and many other who want to be speakers and psychologists and have necessary talent is that i never let go of my dreams or the willingness to work towards achieving it.I had a dream,and the dream had me. Most people fail in there dream because of lack of commitment.COMMITMENT produces CONSISTENT,enthusiastic effort that inevitably produces greater and greater rewards. MOTIVATION gives you the "want to".
